Science

This Term we did science. We were leaning about water so our topic was about water after that we had to make an goggle slide and explain what is the water cycle but we couldn't search it up we had to write down on the goggle slide what we already know. Then after that we went back to sally and done some experiment's. We had to fill up an container and then we had a pot of popcorn and we had to put it into the container of water and see how many can fit in there. I got 87 popcorn seeds in the container. Then we went back to class and done another experiment and we had to have a eye drop and a big coin. Then we had to fill the eye drop with water and then see how many drop's will it take before it will all fall on the table and all the paper towel's will get wet. After that we had to make a presentation about what we leant here is my presentation about the water cycle.

Maths

This term at maths I learnt about volume is that multiplication is the fastest way to find the volume. Also before we learnt what volume is we learnt about layers and measurement. 

We had to make or build a rectangular prism out of 24 cubes and then we had to find out what is the tree dimensions and then count them all up and see if its 24 cubes.

After that we had a challenge and we had to chose which box is the smallest to the biggest and we had to estimate

Then after that we had to calculate the hight width and the length and then we had to see who was right and who was wrong. Also then we had to calculate the length and the width and we had to see how many box's will fit in the biggest box and 5 box's fit inside the biggest  and I only estimated 3 box's

This term I learnt about volume layers and measurement and lot's of different things thanks to my teacher Mrs Moore and also Mrs Johns.

Today I worked on an presentation all about me and my family I wrote a mihi and I put a picture of my family.

Speech recognition

Today I learnt this new tool called speech recognition it is cool because the best thing is talking to it like a 2 yr old I know right. Speech recognition is when you can talk to your laptop and it writes by its self and also it can help you if you are writing a story. Also it is very useful.

Jump Rope for Heart

This Term we were fundraising money to get new sports equipment.

 We had lots of fun we did lots of different activities one of them was to try and skip together and do the most you can do.
   

Here is a photo of Haofei doing a 100 skips and he can skip fast as flash.

Here is Ezekiel trying to do a 100 skips but he made it up to 30 skips then he was skipping again and he made it up to 50 and he was so proud of him self.

This is Fardosa she done 148 skips she was amazing she done that amount of skips I was so surprised I only got up to 59 skips but at the end I was so proud of myself because after that I beat my score and I got up to 76 skips I wonder how much you can do? Try and beat my score if you can.

Tennis Term 2

This term in Room 14 have been learning about tennis and on the first day we learnt how to catch the ball and adjust your feet and balance the ball on the sweet spot in the middle of the racket.

We were having a test to see who can balance the ball on the sweet spot and have the right forehand grip it was hard but I got there at the end.  

After that the coach Josh told us we were going to do rallies, rallies are when you hit the ball over the net across to the other person and your opponent will do the same.

 Then after that we practised hitting the ball over the net and hit the ball in our hitting zone. Our hitting zone is when we hit the ball at our waist and get it over the net.

                        Tennis was fun and I really learnt a lot it's a great sport to play and if you like playing why not give tennis a try. 

Book Tracks

Today I read a book on book track I read Snow white it was very interesting story because I like the sound effects because it really helps you read and it really paints a picture in your head. It is a great website if you love reading so go and check out Book track classroom and there is lots of categories if you like scary stories or happy story's what ever you like you name it. I recommend this to you so go on book track classroom!  

Anzac day

This is a collage of our ceremony of Anzac day and these photos represent the day that all of the men who died in world war one. The white crosses represent the people around Mt Roskill that died in world war one. This day was a special day of Anzac day because it has been 100 years since world war one ended.
